A few months ago our friend Fred lost both of his lower legs as a result of a terrible infection. However, the “slight inconvenience” hasn’t come close to slowing this (70+) youngster down. “I want to get back in the water and dive again Scott!” were his exact words on the phone…….. just before his surgery. We are pleased to announce that recently Fred got in the pool and took to his new diving legs immediately. The experimental legs were made by Chris Hoyt with BioDesign in Denver. “With a few minor changes Fred will have he best diving legs ever” said Chris. People like Fred inspire, motivate and encourage us to continue sharing the joy and freedom diving provides people with disabilities. Fred will be diving with us on our annual Divers With Disabilities trip in Cozumel this June! Water truly is the GREAT EQUALIZER!
