CURACAO, one of the best-kept dive destination secrets of the Caribbean. Like it’s neighbor islands Bonaire and Aruba, Curacao, is located just off the northern tip of South America. Curacao is part of the Netherland Antilles and is located below the Hurricane belt, which assures great weather year round. A variety of nationalities show themselves off in nightlife, restaurants, architecture and shopping.
This destination is excellent for divers and non-divers alike. Curacao has spectacular dive sites just waiting to be explored. The health and diversity of corals are striking with schools of creole wrasse and chromis, frogfish, angelfish, and occasional eagle rays, manta rays, sea turtles and other sea creatures. Join our group for fun and lots of adventure! There is an opportunity to take a coral restoration course with Ocean Encounters on this trip.

With 30 years of diving and three decades as both a PADI and SSI certified scuba instructor, I’ve logged dives across some of the world’s most spectacular underwater destinations — Truk Lagoon, Palau, the Maldives, Tahiti, Hawaii, and throughout the Caribbean, including Cozumel, Cayman, Honduras, and the Netherlands Antilles.
I hold instructor certifications across the full range of recreational specialties, including Night Diving, Underwater Navigation, Deep Diving, Wreck Diving, Nitrox, and Search & Recovery — as well as professional-level courses through Instructor certification and SSI Extended Range technical diving.
