Independent Open Water Instructor

Brian has always loved being in and around the water.  His scuba adventures began with a Try Scuba course for his son’s Boy Scout troop.  After blowing bubbles for the first time, he was hooked! Brian continued his scuba passion with A1 Scuba (now Diventures) and became a certified diver in 2014. He entered the dive professional realm as Divemaster in 2020 and continued in this profession, becoming an Open Water Instructor in 2022. Brian’s experience includes Certified Dive Guide, Snorkel Instructor, SSI Explorers Instructor, DAN Basic Life Support/Emergency Oxygen Provider, and Divers First Aid Instructor.  Most recently, Brian completed the SSI Classified Diving Buddy/Instructor Professional course and finds working with adaptive diving students quite humbling and rewarding. Brian also enjoys teaching experienced divers new skills through our specialty programs.  His dive log includes remarkable locations such as the Caribbean, Cook Islands, Red Sea, Indonesia, Philippines, and the Solomon Islands. Brian loves seeing students’ smiles as they grow into comfortable divers.
