Discover Scuba Diving

 

Ever since you can remember, you’ve wanted to try scuba diving, right?

Maybe you watched a cool movie on television that had scuba divers in it or maybe one of your friends just returned from a trip to the "Islands" and dove with dolphin, turtles and other neat critters.

So if you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, our Discover Scuba Diving experience will let you try scuba to see if you like it.

It's lots of fun, easy to do and in no time at all you’ll be blowing bubbles underwater, doing summersaults, handstands, swimming through hoola-hoops, throwing underwater frisbees and just about any other fun thing you can imagine.

 

 

 

 

Prerequisites

• Be at least 10 years old

• Complete a Discover Scuba Diving medical waiver and liability release. (PDF) Any "Yes" responses on the medical questionnaire will require your physician sign a PADI Medical Statement form (PDF) stating that you are fit to dive.
  Note: Unfortunately, we will not be able to allow you into the water until the proper documents have been completed and signed

  Only for those participating in the Aquarium Try Scuba Experience

 

Getting Started Is Easy and You Have
Two Options from Which to Choose

 

Option 1 - At A-1 Scuba & Travel Aquatics Center

$25 per person

 

Includes:

• Scuba diving in our on-site heated pool
• Use of all diving equipment
• Approximately one hour of instruction

Not Included:

• Swimsuit, towel and personal hygiene items

WE’LL SEE YOU ------- UNDERWATER!

 

Option 2 - At The Downtown Aquarium ---
In Salt Water 

$205 per person

 

Course Includes:

• Scuba diving in the Under the Sea Exhibit at the Downtown Aquarium with Green Sea Turtles, Rays, Groupers and tons of their friends.  It’s the same exhibit where we conduct our Dive with the Fish program
• Professional A-1 Guide
• Use of all Scuba/Snorkeling equipment and exposure suit
• Entry to All Aquarium Exhibits
• Commemorative T-Shirt
• Gift Bag
• One free Try Scuba Experience with A-1 Scuba & Travel Aquatics Center ($25 value)
• Approximately 2 hours of instruction
• (1) day pass to the aquarium ($16.99 value)

Not Included:

• Swimsuit, towel and personal hygiene items
  Note: Please bring shoes (Keens, flip-flops) to wear on the wet deck
• Parking pass
