After completing Step Two (confined water & classroom sessions) you’ll be ready to begin your Open Water training dives. You can begin immediately with the PADI Scuba Diver certification and then complete the PADI Open Water certification.

*PADI "Scuba Diver" Certification – You'll complete all of your classroom, confined water dives, swimming skills and two open water training dives.

*PADI "Open Water Diver" Certification – In addition to the Scuba Diver requirements above, you'll complete two additional open water training dives.

Option #1 (PADI Scuba Diver)

Get your PADI Scuba Diver Certification!

Short on time and long on the urge to become a certified diver? Then our PADI Scuba Diver certification is the solution! This course requires less time and will leave you nearly 90% of the way toward he PADI Open Water Diver Certification. That's because you'll complete all of the classroom sessions, all of the pool dives and the vast majority of open water skills during your two dives in the aquarium. And, you'll complete them in, "one of the most incredible diving environments in the country!"

Located in the heart of Downtown Denver, this 1 million gallon facility is home to incredible saltwater fish, freshwater fish and GREAT DIVING!

The many benefits of completing your Scuba Diver Certification at the Aquarium include:

PADI Scuba Divers are qualified to:

• Dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Divemaster, Assistant Instructor or Instructor to a maximum depth of 40 feet
• Obtain air fills, rent or purchase diving equipment and participate in other diving activities as long as you have the required supervision.
• Continue your dive training and complete a PADI Open Water Diver certification and other courses

Options 2-5 below, provide the opportunity to complete the PADI Open Water Diver certification. Each include four Open Water training dives. Those A-1 students who completed Option #1 above, the PADI Scuba Diver certification, will be able to complete the final two open water training dives during any of these scheduled options – at a significantly reduced fee.

Option #2 (PADI Open Water Diver)

Located at the base of the Wasatch Mountains with 95 degree water. Incredible comfort and GREAT diving!

Option #3 (PADI Open Water Diver)

The Blue Hole Santa Rosa, New Mexico

THE BLUE HOLE is located in Santa Rosa, NM, and is open year-round. This natural body of water is recognized as one of the "Top Ten" inland diving locations in the U.S. It is a fun mini-trip with good food and friendly people.

Local Open Water Site

LOCAL OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION is normally done at one of the reservoirs.

Visibility is limited, but the diving is close to home, convenient and economical. This is generally offered starting in late May and continues through the first of October, depending on the mood of Mother Nature.

This is used when you plan to complete your open water dives through another PADI facility. Just present the kit to your PADI Instructor and he or she will take care of the rest.
