Diving Emergency Management Provider Program
A dive emergency is rarely a single event. More often than not, separate small problems compound to create a larger diving emergency.
Our DAN Diving Emergency Management Provider (DEMP) program helps you identify various emergencies and teaches you how to properly administer first aid. The program integrates the knowledge and skills from several DAN training programs including; Basic Life Support: First Aid and CPR, Emergency Oxygen for Scuba Diving Injuries, First Ad for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries and Neurological Assessment, into a single course.
To train divers how to address multiple problems in an efficient and logical manner with confidence and skill.
The Diving Emergency Management Provider course integrates four DAN programs:
- Basic Life Support: CPR and First Aid
- Emergency Oxygen for Scuba Diving Injuries
- First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries
- Neurological Assessment
Hours of Training
The duration of the course is approximately 8-9 hours but can vary based on the number of students and their ability to process the educational components of the program.
