THE A-1 ULTIMATE RESCUE DIVER IS...

Someone who can handle just about any aspect of a diving related emergency. They are THE person we all want on the scene and they are THE person who possesses the necessary knowledge and skills. This program is designed to prepare you to manage and control the many difficulties and challenges faced during a diving emergency.

Upon completion of the program you will be certified in the following courses: PADI EFR (CPR & First Aid), PADI Rescue Diver, DAN DEMP (Dive Emergency Management Specialist) - Oxygen, Advanced O2, AED, Hazardous Marine Life, DAN On-site Neurological Assessment and three PADI Distinctive Specialties (Oxygen, AED and Hazardous Marine Life).

Course Prerequisites

  • To participate in the various DAN programs and PADI Rescue Diver Course, you will first need to take the PADI EFR (CPR & First Aid) Course.
  • To participate in the PADI Rescue Course you must be a certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or have qualifying certifications from another training organization showing proof of certification beyond entry level (at least two certifications), with proof of 20 or more logged dives documenting experience in deep diving and underwater navigation.
  • Be at least 12 years of age.
  • Complete the various PADI and DAN forms.

  • Pocket Mask with Oxygen Inlet
  • First Aid Kit

  • All Student Materials (PADI Rescue Diver Manual, Slate and DVD, Rescue DVD, EFR Manual and DVD, DAN DEMP Handbook, Neuro Handbook and slates
  • PADI Rescue Diver Course (classroom, pool and open water dives), Certification Card, Photo and Processing Fee.
  • PADI EFR Course and Certification Fee
  • DAN DEMP Courses (Oxygen, Advanced O2, AED, Hazardous Marine Life & On-site Neurological Assessment) and Certification Fees.
  • Non-Rebreather Mask
  • Three PADI Distinctive Specialties (Oxygen, AED & Hazardous Marine Life)
  • The DAN DES (Diving Emergency Specialist) processing fee ($20 value)
  • Use of Tanks and Weights for Pool and Open Water Dives

We know that the Ultimate Rescue Diver is one who aspires to become a PADI Master Scuba Diver - our industries highest non-instructor rating. To receive this coveted rating one must be a PADI Rescue Diver, current in CPR/First Aid and possess FIVE PADI Specialties. By taking the Ultimate Rescue Diver Course you will have completed over 70% of the MSD requirements.

To help attain this distinguished rating we want to offer you the following: Take any two additional specialties (non-diving - Nitrox, Equipment, Coral Reef Conservation) or diving (Night, Deep, Navigation, Dry Suit, Peak Performance Buoyancy, etc) and receive 15% off the course fee.

Note: PADI materials are not included and must be purchased separately. When appropriate A-1 will provide tanks and weights however you will need to either own or rent the remaining diving equipment.
