The Advanced Open Water Course is designed to expose you to several new water activities, increase buddy awareness, challenge you, and provide you with a feeling of comfort and self confidence. Some of our goals include; helping to make you feel more comfortable underwater, introduce you to some new and exciting special interest areas, and increase your diving knowledge. We are confident that you willenjoy the experience and be a better diver...as a result of this course.
The best buddy you can have is one who can manage themselves, prevent emergencies,and solve problems. The skills learned in this course will make divers more aware of themselves as well as their fellow divers. Diving skills will be developed so that you are more self-sufficient and self confident in the open water environment. In the unlikely event a problem does occur, you'll be prepared to handle yourself and to assist others.
This course is for divers and non-divers! Congratulations on your decision to take either the EFR Crossover or EFR Instructor course. The new PADI Emergency First Response Program will provide you with the training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Emergency First Response Secondary Care (First Aid) courses. Through independent study, classroom sessions and practice teaching assignments, you will learn to conduct the EFR program.
As a diver, you can receive training to provide vital first aid that can make a difference to a scuba diver with decompression illness. The DAN Oxygen Provider Course provides entry-level training in the recognition and management of possible diving-related injuries using emergency oxygen first aid.
More than 10 percent of all dive fatalities are actually caused by cardiovascular disease, according to DAN dive accident and fatality statistics. This course teaches divers and other interested parties to provide care for sudden cardiac arrest including the use of an automated external defibrillator (AEDs).
