Course Overview

 

A dive emergency is rarely a single event. More often than not, separate small problems compound to create a larger diving emergency.

Our Diving Emergency Management Provider (DEMP) program helps you identify various emergencies and teaches you how to properly administer first aid. The program integrates the knowledge and skills from several DAN training programs into a single course.

 

 

 

Program Objective

To train divers to respond to dive emergencies in a single comprehensive package. This is not a new training program from DAN. Rather, it is an all-inclusive method of presenting and promoting DAN Training Programs.

 

The Diving Emergency Management Provider course includes:

Hours of Training

Appoximately 9 hours.

The time needed to complete this course varies and depends on many factors, including the number of students and their ability to process the educational components of the program.

 

Course Prerequisites

  • Read the appropriate sections of the DAN DEMP manual and review the associated slates
  • Review the video segments and knowledge development material on the DAN website
  • No minimum age

$160.00 per person

 
    Includes:

  • DAN DEMP Student Handbook and Slates
  • Non-Rebreather mask
  • DAN Course Completion Card
